That really sucks. So she's kind of a flake, basically? :/ I hope things get better.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I haven't been on cB in a long while.
There isn't really a post-cosmetology school going on right now. The owner of my school is being ridiculous right now, and its really frustrating. Kind of a long story though. But basically whenever I try to turn in my final assignments and such, she is like "I'm busy, can I call you back" and then never does. Soooo, thats where I'm at right now.
It happens everytime.

Hi, Kara. :D How's life post-cosmetology school?

Posted by tokyo-rose on Mar 24, 08 8:27 pm

Yeah, well sorta. I've just been getting on the desktop at home. For some reason my apple wont pick up connection upstairs in my room, because something my parents did. Its kind of a long story.
But my ibooks battery is fried right now anyway. $130 to replace it. RIDICULOUS. haha but its w/e.

Anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. what have you been up to?

Posted by arcanum on Mar 1, 08 10:19 pm

Well, that's cool. :) Since you've been posting more again, do you have a stable Internet connection now?

Sorry for the ultra late response. Graduating from Cosmetology school, yes.

I really love love quotes, especially long ones that actually mean something; not the silly kinds that are basically repetitions of other quotes.

I've been okay, more or less. Trying to make life more interesting. =)

From cosmetology school, you mean? Or you're graduating high school half a year early? xD
Either way, congrats! :D

Hey, thanks! that quote is just amazing, isn't it?
I have tons of quotes from him in this book. It's actually called "The quotable lewis" haha
How have you been? I know I've been so inactive, and I've been working on it.
Usually my internet isnt working, and if it is, then I'm working on school projects and it just sucks.
But I graduate on the 24th, so I'm pretty excited!

Welcome-ish back to CB. I like the new username. (:

I forget if I've told you how much I like the CS Lewis quote in your profile, but it's awesome.

I need a haircut. xD

Ohh, I see. I had this weird thought that Ireland didn't have fast-food chains, like the country's old-fashioned or something.

You should have put pictures up on the forum! :( You DID take pictures, right?

And that's awesome! Will you go to other parts of Europe too, briefly?

Posted by tokyo-rose on Jan 17, 08 4:46 pm

Yes, I suppose. And no, not free. Sadly. The school has really low prices though, and anything I need is 50% off. So haircuts were like... $3.50. haha

Dublin.. hmm... its gorgeous. stone roads, cathedrals, the "dublin castle". All amazing.
There is a body of water that runs through dublin, I guess it would be considered a river? hahaha aaand... hmm... the bridges are really pretty.
Everything is pretty.
The food there is SO much better too. The milk didn't make me sick, and the fast food is ballin. haha
We did a scavenger hunt in downtown dublin, so I got to see a lot of downtown. It's lovely.

I'm excited for this summer, because I'm suppose to be going back. =] woohoo!

Wow, you sound like you're pretty experienced then. Did you do their hair for free?

What's it like in Dublin? =)

Posted by tokyo-rose on Jan 14, 08 3:12 pm

Yes, same here. I'm not easily angered at all.

And yes, I have. Lots of friends, cousins, sisters, my mom, and my brother. Oh and my grandma and a few aunts. haha

Posted by arcanum on Jan 12, 08 10:42 pm

Same here! I don't want to risk exploding at my friends accidentally. But I'm hardly ever angry so it's okay.

Have you done any of your friends' hair before?

Posted by tokyo-rose on Jan 12, 08 5:43 pm

LOL yeah. I'm not shy either. Basically the same as what you said. Usually if I'm mad about something I won't talk to ANYONE, though. and I'm pretty talkative with my best friends. Sooo yeah. heh.

Posted by arcanum on Jan 11, 08 11:25 pm

Nooo, I demand that you ramble more! xD Maybe not demand, but it's fine with me if you do. =)

I get what you mean with meeting new people. It's not that I'm shy, it's just that I don't see any point in contributing useless remarks to people's conversations. Sometimes I'm so quiet around my friends that they think something is wrong, and I always have to say I'm okay. xD

Posted by tokyo-rose on Jan 11, 08 5:45 pm

Hahaha well, I guess when doing peoples hair, I tend to talk more than I would if I was just meeting them. Because its a priority to talk to clients when doing their hair.
But usually if I'm just meeing someone, I'm pretty quiet. I only speak when I really have something to say... *shrug* It's kind of hard to explain.

LOL like when I first met one of my best friends, I didn't say anything to him. xD
and almost a year later we started talking on aim, and he was like "you were really quiet when I first met you".
So I guess thats a good example, sorta. Except that day I wasn't in a good mood, and wasn't really talking to anyone.

Oh boy, I am rambling on about nothing now. *runs away*

I've been settling into the moderator life, haha.

What are you like when you're doing people's hair? o:

About Me
My name is Kara, I'm nineteen. My birthday is in june, and I was born at 7:24am. I'm really quiet when I first meet people {unless I'm doing their hair}, but I'm probably one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. I'm told that a lot. I try to be optimistic about everything, and I try not to take anything for granted. I basically have the best friends in the whole world. I am a christian, God is freakin amazing. I believe what I believe, and you can talk to me about it if you want, but you won't change my mind. I really wish I lived in Ireland, I went there over the summer with some amazing people and I had the best time. Dublin is gorgeous, and the people I met there were some of the coolest people I've ever met. I want to move there when I have enough money. I am currently in Cosmetology school, and will be done very soon. I absolutely adore hanging out with friends and traveling. Roadtrips are the best. I enjoy going to good shows, listening to music, watching good movies, and reading good books. But I'm not very picky about movies, just music and books. xD

"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it careful round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket-- safe, dark, motionless, airless-- it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable... The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers of love is Hell." - The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis
